Among the highlights of the Gallery's collection are
papers from an important graphic arts company that
operated in the late 19th and the first half of the
20th centuries. Frederick Bridgen, R.C.A., president
of Bridgen Ltd., of Winnipeg and his nephew Arnold,
were significant members of the Winnipeg art community.
This firm employed many local artists. Arnold Brigden
was a member of the founding committee of the Winnipeg
Art Gallery and donated a vast portion of his collection
to the Gallery.
